The Gnar Cluster-Fucks returns in part 6!

Hello! Long time no see, is it really true that the questers of Gnar, know commonly as The Cluster-fucks, have been sitting around for two whole years? Apparently so, but these days I am itching for some more dungeon crawling mischief, so lets see how things goes for the crew. And as you likely know: this post is part of a series so you should probably visit the first one. Or just go straight to the relevant label to read them in whichever order you fancy. Long story short, I'm playing a series of connected games using a fan mod for Wasteman.

Having secured some fat loot, a new ride, and a position as local Crimelords, the Cluster-Fucks became lenient under Wilhelm/Theodor. Sure there were the odd mob hits and what not, but most of their time was spent tending to business interests and keeping their seat of power. Open combat suddenly meant risking investments instead of being a chance to earn passage into the glorious stampede of Gnar. Looking down from beyond, Gnar and their old comrade Gordo Vilehand was dissapointed. But these lads weren't burned out just yet, they still were a powder keg. All they needed was a spark to set them back on the right path.

An explosion boomed outside. That mean SOB known as The Gimp had apparently left the robo wranglers and now teamed up with Olga the Cruel's boys. A truly nasty cocktail of violent bastards. People were trying to barricade themselves in while molotovs and chainsaws were prying open their homes. If only some semi-heroic, or lets be frank, equally murderous personages were nearby to save the day.

This is the Raid scenario from mission pack 2, as an additional modifier, I will have Arrakhars boss ability disabled. He needs to prove himself again in the eyes of Gnar, there is no resting on your laurels. The scenario wording is a little vague regarding deployment, but I interprited it as rolling for rooms immediately and then having your folk enter the field.

My starting hand is a good and rounded collection, though I would've liked to see a painkiller there. But I can beam enemies out, turn them against each other, gain massive power or just nuke them from orbit.

"They're raiding out turf!" Skorn cried out, a quick visit to the armory and then the gang embarked in the vehicle and raced off. They barely entered the shanty town before blows and bullets were clanging against the hull, at least four people had left the buildings and rallied to take on the armored carrier, among them the renowned Olga and the Gimp. The hull started to buckle under the punishment, they gang was off to a rough start.

The car could take a little more punishment, but they needed to act. Albie quickly punched in some coordinates and a down came the hammer. A blistering light hit just outside, the hull creaked and rivets sprung from their bearings, but the car held - barely. The Gimp simply dissapeared and the rest of the attackers were put in a rough shape.

"Alright, swivel round the main gun! I'm getting out there, we need Olga's head for the bounty" Arrakhar barked. He turned the hatch as the turret lined up a shot, as he opened the door smoke and fire exploded from the cannon catching Olga dead center. "Now thats a proper entrance! Come get some you mangy shites!"

Right behind him Albie scampered forth, Nurse Betty didn't skip a beat and jammed a needle into Olga, who immediately rose, locking weapons with Albies snarling saw.

Seeing an opening Wilhelm/Theodor rushed out too, seeking to bludgeon Otto the gunman inro submission, but Otto had caught on, it was clear where they were disembarking so he had a shot already lined up. Wilhelm/Theodor ran headfirst into barrage of bullets, and got torn to shreds. A quick death, but not a very dignified one.

Wilhelm/Theodor was an important asset, given his status as the Crimelord, 10 extra caps per mission is lovely and having all hiring costs halved is very handy for beefing up the roster. But alas, he had spent a little too long behind a desk.

Gnar had proved his point, as his fury entered the vessel of Otto. Having already shot one person apart he gave in to the Madness and turned his gun on Nurse Betty. Giving her a good scare as her comrade started blasting away.

They felt his presence too, blood, fury, violence! This is what real combat felt like: the thumping hearts, crunching bones and screams of pain. Brother Albie gave swelled with power and broke the standstill, his chainsaw howling like a wild animal as it chewed through Olga's hammer followed by her torso, leaving her a slumped mess no nurse could sort out. And in tandem with his bloodletting Skorn kicked another round into the barrel, sealed it and hammered down the fire button. BBQ who had been hanging back a bit and focusing on looting stopped a moment to ponder the whistling sound he heard. A second later he got the answer and was smeared across the nearby cottage. All around them glorious chaos erupted, Otto was blinked out of existence and Nurse Betty fled as fast as her legs could carry her.

Not those to dwell on the past, Wilhem/Theodor was hardly given a second thought. Because they once again felt the presence of their lord and master Gnar. People nervously crept from their homes, they had no caps to spare, but wanted to repay the favor and so offered up their services pro-bono.

This scenario doesn't pay anything, but halves prices on all services following this game.

And by Gnars flaming ballsack, Arrakhar had a project for them, a vision of glorious carnage. With Albie providing technical schematics and guidance, they were gonna build an altar for Gnar. Not just a static pile of mossy rubble, but a heaving murderous behemoth, a testament to his glory and an embodiment of his carnage. Tusks, teeth and spikes were cut from metal sheets, unholy energies was sunk into its beating heart and the stolen weaponry from their storage welded to its form.

The Slaughter Idol is a Gargantuan Killbot, wielding a Chainsaw and carrying a Minigun on its Weapon Mount. Its protected by a Plate Suit and a while it may be slow and cumbersome, should Arrakhar cast Unholy Energies can it become overwhelmingly dangerous.
